I'm going to try to limit my response to just a few key points and posts because this is a fucking giant topic and it includes some people I generally have ignored (Hi, Jen!) whose comments I'm just not touching because it defeats the point of ignoring them.

Judgmenl posted...
I guess mods are finally starting to crack down on crazy conspiracy posting.

Which is a garbage claim and I'm pretty sure you know it.

I got warned pertaining to 1-2 comments made in "77% of REPUBLICANS say Joe Biden won by FRAUD!! Do you believe that???". The first was a NKL, the second was the warning (presumably built on the fact that I had that NKL). They're posts #4 and #10. Decoy77 apparently got warned in that same topic (he was post #8), but his warning seems to ended sooner than mine (since he sent me a PM about having been warned as well before my own warning ended).

Neither post advanced a "conspiracy theory." The NKL (which wound up in my history first despite being posted second) discussed my feelings about election security given an incident I ran into at my polling station. There was no mod comment on that, so I'm not sure what the basis was for the moderation. However, adjl saw that post and responded to part of it with a quote (the rest isn't present on Gamefaqs). I'm not sure why he's choosing now to mischaracterize the contents or speculate on things where he already had direct knowledge.

The second post was the actual warning which, if not for the NKL, probably would have been a NKL. The entire contents of that post seem to still be available in post #14's quote. The bulk of that post was discussing why it's important to have the ability to freely discuss election results. However, I also pointed out something about a CEO which, in hindsight, might have a bit risky.

When I went to appeal that, I appealed regarding the CEO remark and cited specific articles that cover some of his donations (as well as a broader defense of the notion behind free speech (not to be confused with the First Amendment which *protects* free speech and doesn't apply to private companies anyway)). It was only after I hit submit that I realized that the mod left a comment and it something completely that bore no relation to my post. I'm not sure if it was a stock reply or if the mod only read the notes in the mark (which has been an issue many times in the past).

Blight posted that he can't believe I got modded for those things (actually, he suggested he couldn't believe I got modded for something that was even more than the things that I actually got modded for). He's not alone -- I can't believe I got modded for those posts either.

Of course, all of that pales in comparison to the single post that got LLC banned. While it's hard to be 100% sure what the mods took issue with, I'm assuming that it was based on my discussion of potential outcomes in relation to a question that adjl asked. Never in a million years would I have imagined that would get modded.

The "offending" part of that post is directly quoted by adjl in post #50 (oh, and Bligh quoted it in #48)... which actually demonstrates that adjl saw all THREE posts and came in here playing ignorant as to why the moderations happened, instead citing some bullshit story about "reworded Trump tweets". To the surprise of no-one, I don't use Twitter. Believe it or not, I have a hard time condensing my thoughts into 140 characters or whatever. I have to question why adjl is creating those false claims and knowingly making completely inaccurate claims, specially when he's simultaneously criticizing me for inaccuracies not present in any of those posts. Granted, for him to make those claims at all he has to engage in deceit so perhaps it's not merely hypocrisy.

The other half of that post was a response to GunslingerGunsl's post #14 regarding the fallacious thinking behind that claim. Nobody quoted any part of that, so it's not still up for people to make their own judgment. And while I'm fairly certain that wasn't the offending part, I'm not going to repost it anyway at this time to play it safe.

The whole thing is like giving Leonardo DiCaprio an Oscar for The Revenant -- sure, maybe Leonardo deserved the award for one of his previous films, but not necessarily for the one where he actually got the award (although, in my case, it'd more be like giving... idk, Sinbad an Oscar for Jingle All the Way because that post didn't deserve it). Likewise, I can't certify that 100% of my previous posts haven't had anything that might have tripped over a technicality, but those ones clearly didn't. I'm generally assuming that they were just swept up in a wave of election response marked posts and the moderators aren't paying that much attention to individual posts.

Regardless, you can get into the real reason why you and so many here feel I should be routinely and harshly modded which has nothing to do with the rules, but instead the fact that I have the audacity to have political and social beliefs that don't align perfectly with yours and, even worse, I generally back those beliefs up with compelling arguments and citations that challenge your worldviews. And before you protest that, keep in mind that you guys loved the fuck out of WastelandCowboy when he was #NeverTrumping and would share his sentiments, back up his claims, agree with everything he said no matter how poorly-founded the opinion might be. But when he had the audacity to stop doing that and would occasionally question a crazy criticism aimed at Trump (as well as sometimes link a favorable article from a mainstream publication), you turned on him with such viciousness and fury that the poor man finally wound up closing his account. Prior to that, despite the fact you guys had personal issues with him in the past, you had been thick as thieves.

And, not for nothing, but I haven't advanced one election conspiracy theory this entire election. However, there have been people on PotD who have brought up actual election conspiracy theories and, offhand, I can't remember if I saw any of them modded. And the mods certainly no-actioned the countless conspiracy theories about the 2016 election, many of which have been repeated despite being debunked to this day. Likewise, I've sometimes seen certain conspiracy theories from the 2004 & 2008 elections cited here without them being actioned.
