Both candidates suck. If this is the best both parties can do...holy shit, this is the decline of western civilization.

First I was trying to think of the last time the US actually had a great president, and then I got to thinking about how awful other world leaders are. Leadership is in kinda short supply.

At the same time, we ask too much of national leaders and government that it's impossible for them to truly deliver. That's why so much really needs to be on state and local government where, to be blunt, we have even more incompetent leadership.

If we're being honest, I'd rather see Trump win than Biden, i can't shake the feeling that Biden is a trojan horse to put Harris in despite her having 3% of all the fucks given when she ran on her own. If anything, that's the real undermining of democracy we're looking at. Don't think for a second the Republicans aren't going to go after Biden for the exact same thing the Dems spent 3 years trying to Impeach Trump over, and the votes are already there if it makes it to the Senate.

Among other issues. Even taking that off the table, Biden has repeatedly discussed plans to stack the SCOTUS. I've sometimes wondered if Biden is planning to go full Khaleesi on us then, after he's done all of his crazy shit, hand the reins to Kamala and the DNC establishment so they can get their wish list while having clean hands (well, other than collaborating with his shit). It's kinda depressing when the best case scenario regarding Biden is that he'll merely turn out to be corrupt >_>

And after the amazingly horrible precedent the Dems set in their attempts to get rid of Trump, I kinda wonder if that's going to become the new normal.

Just my opinion, but I think this is one of fallacies of having states run their own elections from an equipment perspective at least. A national standard for voting equipment would make it easier upgrade technology in a lot of states that are still counting ballets by hand.

I know I know, big government and having a singular type of equipment is more prone to hacking.

I also think blockchain tech has great applications in Elections, so much so other countries are already beginning to use it.

Well, then there's the secondary issue where centralizing power makes it more prone to government corruption.
