So you think it's better for the taxpayers to pay to support an asylum seeking family for several years rather than let them in while their case is being processed, during which time they can find employment and start paying taxes?

That's a real swing and a miss.
Do you know why it takes so long? Because judges are so bogged down on cases. Which should tell you we have a real problem with our borders that we need more attention on. Trump did a good thing with getting more judges in the system. We need a lot more until we can catch up on cases.

Someone who is looking for asylum should understand that when coming in and also consider that having to go through the legal process is understandable and better than being where they were if their asylum request is actually legit. Though, I think we know that many asylum claimers are going through multiple countries to get here which casts doubt to their asylum claim a lot of the times.
