I also think at some point someone is going to figure out a way to leave the dome but either: -not tell people immediately because that would end the story prematurely -it's impractical/impossible to evacuate everyone that way -someone (cough the Rennies) sabotage the escape Something that makes it so that a few characters can leave the dome and explore the outside world, at least temporarily, without resolving the conflict. Well they found their way out. Given that we're still in the middle of S2 this is obviously not the permanent escape, so let's see which of these keeps the story going.
