IPAs are shitty beers that had to survive a trip by sea around the south tip of Africa back before ships had motors and refrigeration. they weren't brewed to taste good, they were brewed to be shelf-stable. how they caught on in the age of electricity and indoor plumbing as a thing is beyond me. i don't see many people diluting their jelly-consistency wine with water like the romans, and yet there's more IPAs at the gas station up the road than anything else. go figure. --- The SBA has closed for business, we thank you for your patronage Assassins. ~there's always free cheese in a mousetrap. ...
