Because I feel like things just escalated very quickly. What I was able to piece together is that Aichi, the protagonist of the main CFVG series, is the villain in this series now because his destiny was changed by Shuka (by her accidentally preventing him from meeting Kai and getting Blaster Blade) way before this all started. https://i.imgur.com/KwCF02j.gif This moment was badass though.
