No one really knows how much Apple or Google charge for every purchase of a game or in app purchase, but I've heard rumors of at least 30% per transaction. If they're paying for resources and not seeing any money in return, I can't blame them for wanting to remove them. Let Epic (or whatever) pay the associated expenses and just have customers download directly from them.
