There is some level of power creep inherent in the game, but that being said you can actually get really far just by using non-rng based resources due to the mythril selection draws and the anima lenses. And on the other hand you literally just cited "perfect inputs" (which is a skill you can train) and I've beaten a lot of stuff I "shouldn't" with my current resources by thinking outside the box in terms of strategies and team compositions. I literally used Dark Knight Cecil as a mage dps to beat Madeen because he was the best suited for the task given the relics I'd drawn as probably the most dumb example off the top of my head of what weird things I've made work in this game. --- No problem!
