| xp1337 08/07/20 5:53:46 PM #436: | Except the one who invoked Trump in the first place was the one who was calling Biden racist to to begin with. Most of this arguing seems to have been over the word choice to equate them on a spectrum of racism. "But Trump is more racist" isn't being used as a means to argue Biden did nothing wrong/can't be criticized for his comments. It's being argued because "Just because one allows his campaign looking out for him more doesn't mean he's less racist." was introduced as a statement and it's being challenged that "Uh, yeah, one of these two can be and is more racist." That's not a defense of Biden. ...Has anyone defended Biden here? But just because Biden's comments were awful doesn't provide grounds for someone to just slip in "and he's just as awful as Trump." There's a spectrum here it's not a binary "not racist-racist" switch that flips and Trump is way over in the deep end. Biden has made a number of racist comments, that's not really at debate here. It's that that doesn't automatically place him in the same stratosphere as "very fine people on both sides" who is literally trying to bring back redlining as we speak. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? ...
