Topic	I really liked YuGiOh when it was new for the first few years

I stopped keeping up with it sometime after the 5Ds era, but it remains one of my favorite franchises. Same. The 5Ds era is more or less when I tapped out. Sadly, power creep hits most TCG's eventually. OG Pokemon cards are basically useless now, if for nothing else that most cards have 2-3x of the HP, and thus higher damage scaling.
