Like in order to earn the right to become mutants, they had to participate in a brawl against all the other candidates--which results in them smashing everyone and standing dramatically in a pool of their victims' blood. There's another durability feat where they have, like, a dozen swords and axes sticking out of their bodies and they're completely unphased in a scene so ridiculous it makes them look borderline immortal. Enough superstrength that they can effortlessly defeat human opponents with one finger. ...I really want to read this series now.
