The problem is that the local magical girl, Momo, is freakishly strong while Shamiko is practically useless even with her demon powers. Shamiko still keeps trying and Momo keeps playing along, even offering her advice on how to get stronger. So the whole show is mostly just a comfy slice-of-life comedy with those two, Shamiko's demon ancestor Lilith, and another magical girl named Mikan who shows up later. There's comedy, fourth wall breaks, mild fanservice, yuri teasing, the usual stuff.
