If both had masks, the normal every day thing in a store of reaching around someone who is in front of what you want, is likely not an issue assuming both are wearing masks properly. He could have waited his turn. Sure. I doubt he reached around Nick BECAUSE he had a mask on. He probably did it because he normally would in a situation someone was taking too long in front of him. He likely just tried to calm Nick's fears by showing him he had a mask on so he didn't have to worry. Point is that if they both were wearing masks properly, there is little reason to freak out in regards.
