So buttonmashed my way to victor in my first go at UMvC3's arcade mode with Magneto, Sentinel, and Mike Haggar. I think I only lost one round (time-out) and then I might not have beaten Galactus on my first attempt. I should have called it quits for the night there -- since I tend to callous and strain muscles when I first start playing fighting games again (taking some combat damage, as it were) -- but I kinda wanted to try out X-23, who I wound up teaming with Jill (which was one of the characters who gave me a harder time during my initial play) and She-Hulk (because She-Hulk).

After having some close wins, I lost 4-6 times in a row on one match, so I traded out She-Hulk for Sentz and played the rest of the way through (taking 2 attempts on Galactus since the first time I didn't just use Sentz to take care of the first part).

Long story short, left thumb is aching a bit and I pulled something in my right forearm. Part of the problem might also be that I don't have a fightpad for the PC and I couldn't get my ps3 controller working so I used my 360 one and the 360's controller has never struck me as all that comfortable, although I like that it at least has a floating d-pad because normal direction buttons can be a pain for fighters. I'll probably just try to resist playing it again for the rest of the weekend and then moderate myself a bit more until I get used to playing fighters again.
