Sorry to hear that mate:( If your in the same house as your mum though you probably won't be able to prevent her from getting it (if you have that is). They expanded the distance from 6 feet to 20 something and basically said if your in the same room with someone for any period of time, you'll get it.

I'm in a similar situation here with roomates, I live downstairs so I don't come in contact with them much, but they are not being careful at all, and they come down here to do laundry etc, so yeah, someday I'm gonna walk through an area they have been in recently I guess, I can just hope that happens AFTER they are infected.

I wish you the best though man, you are a shining light on this board, always helping people out and super generous. In real life it's generally people like that who get taken advantage of the most (especially by family). I hope your mum makes it through this ok.
