I'm sick of hearing people pretend that the temporary bailout/stimulus is the same thing as UBI. It's not. NPR was peddling this bullshit as well just yesterday and actually had Andrew Yang on. Doing something under the very extraordinary circumstance of an international emergency is very different from having done in the day-to-day.

Not to mention that Yang's UBI scheme couldn't possibly be funded under the current environment. The way that this is being funded is, again, by necessity a way that wouldn't be feasible in the long-term. And it's very likely that the stimulus will exclude at least some people unlike UBI which, in theory, covers everybody.
