Going to alternate between groups of songs for a moment, so neither of you has to wait for me to get through all of the others songs.

[Later Edit: That was written this morning, I worked on this throughout the day until I listened to five songs from both of you. Post has been reorganized so all of your songs are in a row instead of going back and forth in the order I actually listened to them in.]

Let's Go Crazy: What happened to the intro on this version? The sermon was the best part (and I say that as someone very actively non-religious). Full version of the song is a 9, but I'd probably drop this shortened version to a 7.

Strangely enough, in spite of literally opening with a sermon and taking about the afterworld, I never knew de-elevator was supposed to be Satan (or that it was "de-elevator" and not "the elevator", at least according to certain lyric sites).

Diggy Diggy Hole: 7. I'm not a fan of Minecraft or dwarves, but it's far more catchy than I expected from the ridiculous name & it did make me smile. I wouldn't mind coming back to this song again later.

Color Wheel: 6-ish. I don't usually go for lengthy, instrumental, musical journeys. I can appreciate the quality and skill involved, but at some point around the three minute mark my mind usually starts wandering aimlessly--the exceptions tend to be songs that inspire a weird dream sequence of some kind (and there's never any sort of logic as to what's going to trigger those) or does something so weird musically that it completely overwhelms me. This is a quality song, but not particularly overwhelming or hallucination-y.

SpaceBalls: Somewhere between 7 and 8, probably. I've actually never seen the film, but I love villain songs and 80s music (especially stereotypical 80s music), so this is very much my type of jam even without any context.

STUNNER: 4.5? It's good to have something so different than everything else in the topic and some of the lyrics are good ("You're just a sheep in a wolf-in-sheep's-clothing's clothing"), but I'm still not a fan.

Sugar Song and Bitter Step: 6-ish. 6s don't usually inspire much in the way of write-ups and this is no exception.

Night Journey: 7.5. The story/lyrics don't really do much for me, but the song fits her voice perfectly.

Kagome: 9.7. I...don't really want to discuss it right now; there'll probably be another official ranking topic this winter, so if you really insist, you can re-nom it over there. I suspect I'd probably eventually give in and write something (most songs got something by the third trip through the nomination list at any rate).

Nyannyanteki Uchuuron (Izuru): 5. I vastly prefer the other version of this song.

Nyannyanteki Uchuuron (KMNZ): 4; I had to go back and listen to the first version after this to make sure I didn't just vastly overrate it, but no, I still like that one. There's something about Sora's version, in the music and/or her voice, that feels like running around on all fours meowing and pouncing stuffed animals. These two versions do not have that same sort of feeling, meow.

...I tried to be more subtle and just say "loopy" instead of something really weird last time, meow, but apparently it's too late at night to pretend to be normal.

And on that note, I'm going to break for the night.
