This song has...essentially everything. Wack percussion. Tempo changes. Steam train noises. That ridiculous slap bass from Battle! Uxie/Mesprit/Azelf. The song legit sounds like its going insane as its being played, like there are pieces of itself as it goes along. What an incredible experience to listen to.

Route 209 always reminded me of Earthbound music, which is probably no coincidence, given that Shogo Sakai remixed this and also composed Mother 3. People often say Pokemon music is very nostalgic, and thats perhaps best summed up by this, a song that didnt actually appear in a Pokemon game, lol. It makes me think of memories I never had.

Holy crap this song is UNRELENTING. Its so intense basically the whole time, from its ear-catching opening all the way through the loop. Listening to this is like running a marathon! Its so AGGRESSIVE. I love it! I can be slow to warm to songs like this, but Boss Battle is great.
