The dude cannot take criticism and insists that his ideas are good, even when they are overwhelmingly rejected by the viewers. He's a magnificent host. I don't think I could watch the show with anyone but him as host. But as executive producer he's fixated on his own ideas and believes that anyone who wants the old days back (which is a majority of the longtime fans) is wrong. I'd honestly respect it more if he just said "I know people don't like this, but it's my show and we're doing it my way."
