I don't have an issue with seeing movies alone, but I barely care enough to see movies in the theater for any reason regardless. So one of the few things that actually motivates me to go out is when someone else wants to go and ask me to go with them. Occasionally my GF wants to see stuff, or some friends will say "Hey, do you want to go see X?" and it'll turn into a social occasion sort of deal, and I used to take my young nephew to see the Marvel movies when they came out because it was the only way he'd see them (but he's old enough to go on his own now). But if no one else wants to go see something, I don't really have the motivation to go out. I don't care enough about movies to not be able to wait the extra few months before a movie comes out on DVD or TV to watch it for free at home. If some movie came out that I was absolutely obsessed with, and no one else wanted to go see it, I'd go see it alone. But I can't remember being that excited for any single movie for more than a decade or two now. JebronLames posted... any of you gonna see the new star wars movie by yourself? I probably won't even watch it at home, unless someone somewhere decides to pay me to do so.
