DUH. 1) There IS no "story" in Destiny 1. 2) Even if you're playing single-player, the game forces you to connect to online. No online, no game, period. If they shut the servers down for PS3, the PS3 version of the game stops working entirely, forever. If you don't have an Internet connection for your console at all, you won't even be able to get past the title screen. So my question remains entirely valid.
