I was playing The Outer Worlds, but I hit a bug which completely fucks over companion quests, and I categorically refuse to keep playing until they patch it (and if they never fix it, I'll likely never play again). When you talk to one of your companions and they offer you their companion quest, you autofail it the moment you take it. It's screwing up for me when talking to Felix, but I've heard that it can screw up the same way for Ellie as well (it seems distinct from the problem where the game wrongfully thinks your companion is dead when they aren't, which seems to screw Parvati's quest up). Multiple people have apparently gotten it - I found multiple complaints when I was looking to see if there was a way around it/to avoid it for myself. Obsidian support says they're aware of it and are looking into it, but they were saying that before the last/recent patch came out (the one from a few days ago), and the patch didn't seem to fix it, so either they're still working on it, or they don't really give a shit about it. As for avoiding it, as far as I know, there's nothing you can really do - either your game decides to fuck up or it doesn't. It's entirely out of your hands, because there's nothing you can really do to fix it. The problem is, autofailing the companion quest straight out of the gate means you're going to get the worst outcome for that companion in the ending. Which doesn't really matter if you don't CARE about that companion, or the ending, but those are pretty much the only parts of this game I DO care about, so if that's borked, I get zero satisfaction out of playing it. What pisses me off is that everyone was saying how the game was so much more bug-free than you'd expect from most modern AAA games (and Obsidian in general), so I bought it earlier than I likely would have, and then got a bug that is worse than almost any other possible bug could be in my eyes. Dikitain 11/25/19 9:24:10 AM #20:	Mass Effect, got a free month of Origin Access for having an authenticator turned on and since I have had Mass Effect 2 sitting in my library for a few years I decided to give the original a try (since there really wasn't anything else EA I wanted to play). So far I am loving it, about 10 hours in I am really enjoying it. My only real complaint is I love the side questing but the main storyline stuff is kind of annoying. Like I have a sniper/charisma character yet the game keeps putting me in situations where I can't use him as such. Yet pretty much all of the side quests let me play that way. Still, love it and will gladly move on to Mass Effect 2 once I beat it. --- I am a Contract Software Developer. What does that mean? Ive been doing all the companion quest because I really do like them. Especially since thats part of the replayability and stuff. Like the different choices and endings... A couple local tournaments were held, and I tried them out. I took first place in the second event. Never done that before! After that I've just been desperately clawing my way back into Elite Smash. You need over 5,600,000 GSP now, and even one loss is massively punished. It's a labor of love. I picked up Mortal Kombat XL in a steam sale. It's better than buying 11 because you actually get everything you pay for. Story was alright, and had a decent length. The variations for fighters they introduced really adds a lot to the experience, and can turn a bad character into a good one. Predictably, the only online players left are the ones who dedicate their lives to the game, so winning is basically impossible. But I had a great time for 30 hours or so. Never got around to playing New Vegas before, so this is my first go round on PC. It took me about 8 hours to figure out how to properly mod the game into a decent looking experience, by current standards. Otherwise I stayed away from most other mods, to keep it vanilla. I haven't gotten that far into it yet, but it's been pretty fun. Just reached the Mojave Outpost. Some giant scorpions wrecked me pretty good until I broke out the dynamite. Good stuff! Luigi's Mansion 3 is one of the best games of 2019, IMO. The attention to detail is staggering! Luigi has fantastic animation, and great voice work from the one and only Charles Martinet. Nintendo wasn't afraid to try new things with this sequel, and without giving anything away, it really pays off! The camera is a little awkward sometimes, and the gameplay doesn't allow for a crazy amount of variety. The soundtrack could have also used a little more catchiness. But those are my only nitpicks. Last year I started playing FFVIII, but then I took a hiatus and played through tactics. Then I got an SNESC so I started playing FFIII. At some point I got bored and played through Yoshi's Island in a few hours. I got stuck on III, so I went back to VIII and got to the end where the boss is stupid hard, so I took another hiatus and played through Majora's Mask. After that I sat down and leveled up in VIII for a few hours until I was strong enough to beat Ultimecia. I went back to III but couldn't figure it out so I started to play the first Final Fantasy. I got stuck on that, so I went back to III.
