Yes, most English VA's have a certain kind of role that they're most popular for, but a lot of them have tons of range and can play other roles too. If you really think that Index from A Certain Magical Index has "the same voice and tone" as Mereoleona Vermillion from Black Clover just because they're both voiced by Monica Rial, then you're either completely deaf or completely full of shit. and probably have dubious background on any sort of singing training You're right that most dub VA's don't. For this ZLS dub, I know for an absolute fact that Brina Palencia (who's voicing Sakura) and Amanda Lee (who's voicing Junko) have prior singing training, but I don't know about any of the others in the cast.
