Antifar posted... this level of enforcement is just wholly disproportionate to the actual harms being caused here. Both of these are true in this situation. The guy broke the law and deserves to pay consequences for it (and for resisting) especially with his past criminal history. But at the same time, it does seem like the cops are enforcing these minor offenses too strongly.
