A professional athlete of any gender is clearly going to outdo some average person whose most rigorous workouts were during mandatory p.e. at school.

...lolwut? If you feel that training can overcome anything, then why don't men and women just compete together? Why have separate divisions at all?

But they're not competing equally. They have substantial unfair advantages.

...it makes a pretty fucking big difference if they have substantially higher testosterone levels, considering that we can ban performance enhancement drugs giving that same effect. If a natural woman can't take supplements to have the same testosterone level as a transitioning male, they're at a pretty massive disadvantage.

There are virtually no professional mixed teams (and usually when there are, like in badminton, it's restricted to the same numbers on each side). Why do you think that is? The problem isn't that the world explodes when men and women compete against each other -- which seems to be your incredibly stupid belief -- but that there are massive competitive differences between the sexes.
