I can't rightfully claim that I allowed my sister to have an abortion if she never actually had one. I can say that I would allow her to have to have abortion, but not that I did allow her. You can say you do allow her, it's just an awkward thing to say as it implies there's a circumstance where you would tell her unsolicited that if she got pregnant, you would force her to give birth. Saying you would allow her is saying you don't consider it your place to allow it or not unless you were specifically informed. Bugmeat posted...
