It looks phenomenal and has a great premise. https://blog.sakugabooru.com/2019/06/25/black-fox/ It was originally going to be a TV series and was announced as such. Due to production issues (including an unforeseen director change due to the original director having a work conflict because he was directing Run With The Wind at the same time as Black Fox's production) it was delayed for several months and eventually downsized into the first major arc of the anime being released as a movie. It was a rare example of the higher-ups actually choosing the benevolent route that keeps the staff happy and healthy, not the route that forces the staff into ruthless and insane workrates to rush the show to its deadline and risk a lackluster product riddled with QUALITY being released.
