I just moved and down the street neighbors kept puting things out on the curb, including at least a $200 Armoiur. I also drove around on the first weekend I was here and got a bunch of pieces of furniture etc, for under $20 total.

When I hit the yard sales there were a bunch of pieces too big for my car, that were being sold for $3 etc. This insanely nice table for instance, was almost worth renting a truck for. I know have a mini-van though.

This has led me to the thought that you could pretty easily run around collecting good pieces off the curbs, and grabbing the great deals at yard sales, and then sell them on facebook/offer up etc for a significant profit.

Just the things I got on the one day I hit yard sales, I could easily sell for $200+ and I only drove around for a few hours. Now that facebook actually is used by people who are doing yard sales, you can find out where a bunch of big ones are, and hit the little ones you see along the way. Easily stock up on a ton of stuff, then sell it over the week till the next yard sale. With a truck (or minivan like I have) you can even deliver the furniture (for a price hehe).

Main thing you need is a truck/mini van, and a decent amount of storage space.

Oh and a computer with internet connection.
