Always thought it was weird that they begin Infinity War with Dr Strange using a portal to cut a giant powerful villain's hand off.

And then never even mention or address the idea again for Thanos

i think its supposed to be covered by the I saw all these possible timelines but trust me theres only one where we win.

i dunno. Maybe if he did that, Thanos would have come back for round two and things would have been worse.

but its a pretty lame writing mechanic to use that and just have the character say trust me, none of those other ways would work unless youre doing something like, I dunno, a certain magical girl anime where that kind of thing is the point >_>
