what if episode 9 has time travel

Flashback to Episode 1:
[Jar Jar Binks walking through sand, sees a capsule stick out... he presses the button...]

So many possibilities, boys

The real reveal is that Anakin originally succeeded at stopping Palpatine, bringing balance to the Force, and ushering in a new golden age for the Jedi and the Republic with Padme by his side and his two loving children growing up under his protection and guidance, until they too go on to be incredibly influential figures in the Republic.

But Jar-Jar, the last of the Sith and Palpatine's hidden apprentice who went underground after his defeat, finds the last remaining fortress of a long-dead and forgotten race of technological masters, who invented working time travel. And then he uses it to travel back in time, to Naboo, where he pretends to be his own younger self and beings to manipulate events, sabotaging the Jedi, paving the way to Anakin's corruption, and the ultimate victory of the Sith.

Everything we've seen, in all of the movies, only happened because of Jar-Jar. He was indeed the key to all this.

But now, an even older Jar-Jar, embittered that even this new timeline ends with the fall of the Sith, has spent years trying to duplicate his original feat - he will travel back in time, track down Luke and Leia as children, and murder them before they can ever become a threat to the Empire and the Sith.

"I don't care if I have to change the past a thousand times - the Sith will win. After all, I only need to succeed once... and time... is on my side."
