It just so happens that someone who is educated on Marxism is more likely to incorporate it into their understanding than someone who is not. Oh, I dunno, I feel like professors in the humanities and social sciences do this in various different ways, and I can see the way it might influence either group of students without directly telling you what to think. Having taken economics and philosophy classes and having not majored in either, though, I suppose my view is pretty limited. Anyway, I think its more likely that the kids who choose to do econ are more conservative and those who choose philiosophy are less so to begin with --- But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. ...
