Granted, all of MtG's in-universe stories are lousy. Some of the older stuff was interesting, but they retconned most of that away when they introduced the shitty Nuwalkers. Ice Age was probably the last point in the franchise when I gave a damn about the setting details. By the time of the Weatherlight storyline (that a lot of younger people loved), I'd mostly checked out. And the later Urza stuff actively annoyed me (then again, I always used to root for Mishra). I will say that Jeff Grubb's The Gathering Dark was a guilty pleasure. Mead posted...
