Overlooking that the stock market isn't even close to being the same thing as the economy, the market *was* doing phenomenally well for most of his tenure-- a rather inconvenient fact missed in these shit topics. Not to mention that part of the stock market's troubles is that the economy *is* doing well which causes issues like labor shortages. Other tariff-related problems are a direct result of his actions, although the tariffs' short-term pain could result in long-term gains if it actually pushes nations like China to change their behaviors (which includes hiring state-sponsored and sanctioned hackers to steal proprietary information from US companies to benefit Chinese ones and completely ignoring copyright law).

Lowest in 50 years, at any rate. Granted, just like before, part of that reflects underemployment although there are still a lot of jobs that employers are having difficulty filling.
