You're taking all kinds of twists and turns on a simple argument that I can't even follow you any more, I'm stopping now.

I'm taking twists and turns? You're the one making bizarre leaps in reasoning. If you can't provide a sound, reasonable argument, don't try to hide it by claiming I'm twisting the discussion. I'm answering each point you've brought up.

US schools are fascist then.

US schools are not fascist, because while they may promote the anthem or Pledge of Allegiance, they're not forcing children to partake. This woman was insinuating, by saying she would not "let" children kneel, that she would suppress their free speech and force them to participate in these rituals which are designed in part to pledge loyalty to the nation. Once again, while that is not fascism in and of itself, forcing people to pledge their loyalty to the government and to their country is a step towards fascism.

If you're saying this would lead to a fascist government, then you are saying it would be made illegal. Fascists don't make you guess what they want.

Again, I'm not saying this would lead to a fascist government, I'm saying it's a stepping stone towards a fascist government. Obviously a lot more would need to transpire than simply one batty woman making a handful of kids stand for the anthem before a truly fascist dictatorship could take power.

As I already explained, that there is a large sect of Americans who echo this sentiment, including the President, only reinforces my point.

Also, I'm not saying that kneeling for the anthem would become illegal under a fascist state, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility to assume so. Especially given the current President's stance on the subject, and how he panders to his base.
