Water is a very different medium to grass, boat propellers are much slower (and shorter).


And because they're much shorter the RPMs do have to be fairly high. I had a reading teacher in middle school that lost a leg to a boat prop while water skiing. I grew up on Long Island sound. I've spent plenty of time on boats, and a boat prop WILL mess you up. This kid's death isn't evidence enough? It's not like a boat's screw is made of Nerf foam and it's still moving at high speed relative to the water and squishy flesh. Plenty of manatees and seals can also attest to this.
