I guess this isn't more of a critique of the games themselves, but more of the fact that as I get older, as i have gotten married, and just grown up, Nintendo hasn't grown up with me. That's not a knock on them to an extent, as they should evolve, but more of the fact that I have changed a deal and they have not. There yah go, this is much better. Or rather, they HAVE evolved, just not in a way that merits your attention these days, even if it once did.
