I realize chasing favorites isn't going to be much better, but if I'm going to chase something, I'm going to make it a unit I appreciate having because I like them, not because they're impressive in the meta. Since I don't spend much money on this game, my chances of getting a 7*, much less an STMR, are pretty small. So if I'm going to have to accept whatever 7* units I get, I might as well get them chasing units I'd like to have, even if they're not ideal. Besides, as I said, I pretty much wait for content to be power-crept anyway, and I already have an acceptable spread of 7* units anyway.
