Good Japanese places include Takara, Muramoto, and Tavernakaya (Wisco-Japanese fusion, but still good). Italian places include Cento (expensive AF, though), Naples 15 and, Benvenuto's. There is EXCELLENT culinary diversity here - just as much as New York.
