since the FCC plans to charge us out the ass for doing any little thing online

Literally not how it works by any stretch of the imagination. The FCC doesn't get any new money as a result of this.

some people have debated quitting the internet entirely

You mean idiots. You're talking about idiots.

which means using the mail for communication and bills

...because phones don't exist? I know you're supposedly a hermit who doesn't talk to anybody irl, but even you should know stuff like phones exist.

instead of online gaming you call friends for couch play or play cards

and instead of streaming you stock up on blurays and dvds

Call friends? I thought you said you had to write friends! =p Plus some people already get together to play cards, etc. Not really a new thing. And a lot of people buy/own DVDs and blurays despite streaming being a thing.

I was born before the internet was mainstream and did fine so I'm sure I can do it again. Doesn't make much of a difference that most things use the internet as most things that do have a internet function are not a must.
Apply for jobs - I can still hand my C.V into places.
Paying Bills - Direct debit would still work
Phone functions - Still work save for the internet
Communication - Phone calls, letters and something that may shock you but face to face are still a thing.
Food shopping - I don't order online
Buying things - Stores exist.
Playing video games - Sure I'd play without patches but still possible. I don't play online.

The list goes on and on. All the internet does is make some things more easy for the most part but more so helps pass time.

Yeah, we're all used to the convenience now and freak when the internet is out for even a few hours because we feel disconnected from the world but, generally speaking, *most* things can be easily done in the absence of an internet.

Granted, the real problem would be living in the internet age where everybody else was using it but you weren't, because that would greatly impede your ability to ability to succeed in society. If nobody had access, it would merely be an inconvenience.

I need up to date news, tv news is worthless in this day and age, I'd get anxiety from not knowing what's going on all the time.

Case-in-point of people freaking out =p
