I've been hearing how great the series is from Board 8 for nearly a decade at this point, so the trilogy was one of the first things I bought when I got my 3DS nearly two years ago. I really like the concept of the game, but I don't think I like playing it very much. Maybe it's the genre that just isn't for me, but I found myself dreading having to go through the puzzle aspects and the evidence gathering in order to get to the story dumps and trial aspects, which I found a lot of fun. It took me nearly two years to finally get through this because I kept getting burnt out from playing it. I recognize how good it is, but I just don't think it's very fun.
