Pretty damned hard, because "being an asshole" is more or less hardwired directly into our DNA. It's probably the one trait that actually defines our species more than anything else. Mead posted... Power corrupts. Not really. Power frees. Normal people spend their entire lives shackled. Shackled by expectations, societal guilt, laws, religion, tradition, thousands of years of culture distilled down into decades of socialization. But the more money or power (which are somewhat interchangeable) you have, the more capable you become of ignoring or bypassing most of those social controls, until the "real" you eventually comes spilling out like 10lbs of shit in a 5lb bag.
