I actually gave up on Tidus becuase I was relying on him for both buffs and damage, and when you can't chain Quick Hit and have to stop every few turns to reapply buffs, he doesn't work out quite as well. I'd bring him in for support, but bring someone else to chain. Marie was actually my MVP, as her Love You All was a great healing cushion.
