If we ever get a banner "for" him at any point, his Burst will be on it as a consolation prize, much like Rikku's. If he doesn't ever get a banner I probably wanna bail on him anyway. I use Rikku more and think her Burst is overall better, so she seems like the better consolation prize to get. So I guess the question is how often is Faris's burst useful. It's been said it's obsolete but it looks reasonably good to me. Like yeah it has overlap with full break and breakdowns, but it lets you free up ability slots. --- No problem!
