So I forgot to update about the party. It was fun, but not a lot of it fit the narrative this topic's followed so let me skip it a little longer and share these final parting notes the director posted this morning.

Bill, who ghosted me before I could hug him, and who I know worked so hard (Casey told me) and came up with a great, memorable character (actually two) in an extremely challenging role. So many people commented to me how much they liked Bill's Caius. You are one of the most lovable people I know, and you brought that natural vibe to your portrayal. And you brought such perfect gentle plaintiveness to the final tragic scenes.

Harr, did I mention you last night? Regardless, you are another person who worked hard, and it didn't matter what role Liz or I asked you to do, you just said "YES" every single time. Your many appearances in this show were HUGE.

Brian, if I direct another Shakespeare pIay, I would cast you without hesitation. Your Albany was distinct and smooth, and you have a style all your own that makes you attractive for so many parts. You brought some really perceptive understatement to a significant role that demands real talent, and your carriage and manner onstage really captured one of few protagonist roles in a really fucked up family. You plausibly realized functional sanity amid the dysfunction of the flaming Lear zeppelins. Thanks for providing another essential piece to the puzzle. And don't ever forget--I can kick your ass.
