My director wrote this about an actor and sent it to the whole cast at 7:00 AM, then quickly deleted his message. I saved it in time though, so enjoy (unless you're Brian).



Brian, what the HELL are you doing looking at GODDAMN FACEBBOOK. You don't have time. Put your fucking phone down and put your face in your script.
And I was not kidding ONE BIT when I said DO NOT let me see you talking, smoking, or even as much as pissing without your face in your script. And when I say "do not let me see you," that doesn't mean hide and do whatever the hell you want.
I am ordering the entire cast to not speak to you until after the show opens. And if anyone else sees you at the park without your face in your script when you are not onstage, I want them to shun you 100 percent.
And I better not see anyone talking to Brian about anything other than lines, and at this point, THREE MONTHS AFTER HE GOT HIS SCRIPT, I don't see much point in that. I am ABSOLUTELY serious.
NO ONE TALKS TO BRIAN UNLESS YOU ARE ONSTAGE UNTIL AFTER THE SHOW FRIDAY NIGHT.
And if anyone sees Brian without his face in his script, please say, "Brian, please pick up your script."

Yeah, some directors get reeeeeaaaaal pissy with actors. I've been guilty before two or maybe three times...had to learn not to argue online with my cast, then things usually work out from there. This attitude's usually a younger days-thing to my experience, but this directors nearly twice my age so whatever.

I don't live in Knoxville anymore...but if you wanna catch a show, might I recommend ONLINE FIGHTING which is returning to Knoxville the weekend before Halloween.

This Brian-drama is less interesting from the audience perspective and I hate to bank on people enjoying Shakespeare more than me (which I don't).
