Conceptually, I get the subversion here; the typical stinger designed to make everyone jump out of their chairs turned instead into a jarring punchline. However, the story that precedes it makes everything seem disingenuous. Even just a passing glance at the original story reveals that the whole thing isn't meant to be taken in that light. It's randomness for the sake of internet randomness. There's nothing inherently clever about it and it now wallows with the other ghosts of memes past. --- I'm not a miracle worker. Well...
