Genre balance is not a concern of mine unfortunately but there is music from Rock, Soft Rock, R&B, Heavy Metal, Country, Alternative, Techno, Top 40, Instrumental or Ambience, Punk Rock, Rap etc. Basically I didn't search specifically for one genre or the other. I literally searched through EVERY Single year for the best and most popular tunes from every category. Whether or not I included a tune didn't just rest on it's popularity though. There were sooooo many terrible tunes that were popular that I did not include because they didn't fit the theme of "Is it catchy enough?"
