WTH?

I mean steam just had a sale for The Surge, Shines: The lightning kingdom and Tyranny, all good games.

I seriously am struggling with the urge to get Gal Gun which is on sale 75% off because I hear it can be played as a light gun shooter (which I love), but it's seriously creep level pervert game content and I have female friends on steam (heck even male friends might judge me for that).

I'm waiting for Slime rancher to go on sale again. Sadly it's not multiplayer, but a friend of mine has it and loves it (she bought it during the last sale), so I'm waiting for a sale before getting it as well.

Biggest problem I have with Steam is I can't keep up with all the games I want to play that are actually decent. We just spent hours playing The Forest yesterday for instance (until we finally both drowned in an underground lake), so we are going to take a break on that one.

Then we jumped in and played Terraria for a ton of hours (3 of us), until like 2 am lol, so even old games are still taking time away from new ones I just bought.

Meanwhile on my own, when not playing with others, I'm slowly running through The Surge, which is quite decent for a Dark Souls clone like game (just wish there was a bit more customizability in stats etc).

Games are not dead, many gamers have lost their ability to enjoy games due to extreme burnout and way to many games to choose from. Causes gamers to not finish games because a new shiny comes along, and that eventually leads to apathy at even playing games since you don't finish them.

That is totally different then there being no good games though. I hoard games still, because in the distant past (now), we used to go through long periods without anything to play (especially summers). I would pull out my old might and magic games, or eventually diablo 2 etc, and play them for months due to no other choices.

Now? I could freaking game 18 hours a day for 30 years and STILL not finish the games I already own, let alone new games that come out. Games are not dead, they just became tribbles and have multiplied into infinity at this point.
