I schedule my life around my hours at work and that's fine, but I don't owe you any god-damned explanations for what I'm doing on my time. It's none of your damned business why I can't stay later tonight. It's none of your damned business why I can't switch shifts with someone next week. You asked. I said no. That's where the conversation should end. I work my hours and I work the overtime I'm scheduled for. We're not going to play some damned gotcha game about it. We're not doing guilt trips.
