When other people die, it has a tendency to make us think about our own mortality, and thus, empathize more with the dead person because we see ourselves in them. Plus the idea of "WOMG DON'T SPEAK ILL OF THE DEAD!" is so damned ingrained in our culture, a lot of people just immediately start falling over themselves to say something nice about the dead person so they feel like they fulfilled their part of the social contract in some way. --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ...
